2. Assigned work (due Wednesday April 23):
A) Read chapter 10.
B) For the following terms: macronutrient, micronutrient, complete protein, incomplete protein, complex carbohydrates, simple carbohydrates, saturated fats, unsaturated fats, monounsaturated fats, polyunsaturated fats, vitamins, minerals, water,
design a flowchart / tree diagram which keeps them organized. The heading at the top should be: Food / Nutrients.
Within each box of the chart you should include
- The name of the substance (ex: macronutrient)
- a brief description of what each substance is and what makes it different from the other term it is being differentiated from
- examples of the substance
C) For all other terms which appear in red in the textbook, write a short definition in your notes.
