1. Introduction to safe and careful use of the microscope. Observe small coloured pieces of magazine paper. Draw the magnified image (composed of coloured dots), and tape small piece of paper beside drawing for at least 2 drawings.

2. Activity: Use molecule kits to build 6 carbon dioxide and 6 water molecules. Use them to build a glucose molecule and leftover oxygen molecules. How many oxygen molecules are formed?
