1. Lesson/Note: Trends in the Periodic Table.
2. Activity/demo. Observing the reactivity of 3 elements in the same row on the Periodic table:
sodium - 1 valence electron - extremely reactive
magnesium - 2 valence electrons - very reactive
aluminum - 3 valence electrons - somewhat reactive
