Friday December 18th, 2009 - Have a great Christmas Break!!

SNC 1D
1. More thorough discussion of Viewing assignment:
Part A - view & draw the moon each night (weather permitting) at the same time for 7 days. A perfect time to start this project is at 7pm on December 20th. 7pm on the 21st, 22nd, 23rd, or 24th is also ideal. Try to start on a clear night because undoubtedly there will some nights when it will be too cloudy to view well. If you don't start until Dec. 25th, 26th, or 27th, try viewing at 9pm rather than 7pm.
Part B - View and draw Orion 2 different times (ex: 7pm and 10pm) on the same night. Explain how and why it appears to have moved.
2. Make an "astrolab" so that you can include "angle above the horizon" measurements with each of your drawings.

SNC 2D
1. More time to complete yesterday's "quest" (per. 3)
2. Work on Forecasting assignment / Inspirational videos / spelling&grammar bee.

Mr. Gardner,
Can you please post the Weather Assignment sheets on the blog so that if mistakes were made on our original copies that we can re-print the sheets we need? Thank-you.

Ummmmmmmmmm, sooo you're probably going to say no.... But I have a little situation... I went on vacation and I had everything packed and all my science in my bag and everything and then I took it out at the last minute to squish something in and then I ended up forgetting it so now I won't be back to school until probably Wednesday but I won't be able to have my science forcasting project done on time, but if I come in everyday at lunch until it's done will that be ok??? Please?

Hopefully I have responded to you at school, but here's another response. Sure, you can get caught up at lunch. But a grammar (or more likely proofreading) lesson is in order!
