1. Watch remainder of Bill Nye - Food Web. Discussion and take up of answers to worksheet.
2. Lesson/Note: Nutrient and Energy Flow. Main idea: Energy flow is one-way: From the Sun, into producers, to consumers (& through food chains), to decomposers. By then, most of the energy is lost, having been used up by all the living organisms.
Nutrient flow is cyclical. Nutrients are continually cycled from producers to consumers to decomposers and then back to producers (for example, in the form of carbon dioxide and water).
