Also: review of how to draw wind barbs and identify warm and cold air masses on wind and air temperature maps (maps 1 & 4). The rest of the period was for working on the Weather Forecasting Assignment. Try to hand this in tomorrow. Can be handed in on Monday.

2. Lesson/Note: Nutrient and Energy Flow. Main idea: Energy flow is one-way: From the Sun, into producers, to consumers (& through food chains), to decomposers. By then, most of the energy is lost, having been used up by all the living organisms.
Nutrient flow is cyclical. Nutrients are continually cycled from producers to consumers to decomposers and then back to producers (for example, in the form of carbon dioxide and water).

3. Convection demonstration - Hot water (red) over cold water (blue) and the reverse. Hot water stays above cold water, but when cold is placed above hot, the cold falls while the hot rises and the colours mix.
