SNC 2D
1. Continue Note: Sexual Reproduction/Meiosis.
2. Force flatworm(s) 'Planaria' to asexually reproduce. How? 1. Obtain flatworm. 2. Find head and tail. 3. Cut below head and separately above tail. Planaria should regenerate to form 3 new organisms if they are provided with sufficient food and oxygen. 4. Note middle section and draw diagram in binder so you can regcognize which end was closer to the head and which was closer to the tail. Does the region closer to the head always become a new head? We will use class results to determine the answer.
