1. Phenolphthalein Presumptive Blood Test. We learned about and practiced a common test to determine whether or not a particular stain is composed of human blood.
Part A: Lab Mark. Learn & practice the test and then test an "unknown" sample.
Part B: Lab Report. Lab Report due this Friday. Part of the lab report mark involves viewing & drawing various blood cells as seen under a microscope. Begin this today if possible.

2. Work on getting a permanent slide with one or more of your hairs on it. Try to have both undamaged and damaged (bent, stretched, forcibly removed with root etc.)

2. Intro to trace evidence permanent slide assignment. Each student will hand in a minimum of three hairs/fibres prepared onto slide(s) which include the width of the hair /fibre. Due on or before April 23rd.
