SNC 1D
1. More thorough discussion of Viewing assignment:
Part A - view & draw the moon each night (weather permitting) at the same time for 7 days. A perfect time to start this project is at 7pm on December 20th. 7pm on the 21st, 22nd, 23rd, or 24th is also ideal. Try to start on a clear night because undoubtedly there will some nights when it will be too cloudy to view well. If you don't start until Dec. 25th, 26th, or 27th, try viewing at 9pm rather than 7pm.
Part B - View and draw Orion 2 different times (ex: 7pm and 10pm) on the same night. Explain how and why it appears to have moved.
2. Make an "astrolab" so that you can include "angle above the horizon" measurements with each of your drawings.
